Strategic Planning For New Officers

Unions provide a democratic opportunity for members to be elected to leadership positions. This can be progressive and revitalizing for the union, the membership involved, and the labor movement as a whole. New union leadership, however, is often challenged by the complexity of legal and political parameters, entrenched cultural restraints, and arcane procedures–all while having to deal with the work of collective bargaining and representation. New union leadership will be well served to engage LUC at the outset, to assist with strategic planning and provide professional assistance that will lead to successful outcomes.
